Welcome to our broker pre-license courses. The Department of Real Estate (DRE) requires that you have fulfilled your 135 Hours of the Sales Agent Pre-License courses, passed the CA State Exam, and have put in the minimum of 2 years of real estate activities as an active real estate sales agent.

The Sales Agent Pre-License courses consist of 2 mandatory courses and 1 elective. 135 Hrs.

REAL ESTATE PRINCIPLES 45 Hrs. and REAL ESTATE PRACTICE 45 Hrs. are mandatory.
REAL ESTATE APPRAISAL is our elective course offering and is also  45 Hrs.

The Brokers Pre-License course choices are 45 Hrs. each in duration and any combination of 5 will total 225 hours as required by the Department of Real Estate (DRE).

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT 45 Hrs – $225

Property Management 6th Ed course textbookTopics covered include: Records and Controls, promotion and advertising, and tenant and owner relations in connection with property managment. The student will also review the three basic real estate appraisal techiques to valuing income-producing properties: Comparison (Market Data) approach, Cost (Replacement) approach and Capitalization (Income) approach.

This course will give the student a better understanding of the residential, commercial, office and industrial property management. The course will also cover special management situations, liability and risk management, fair housing and leases, amongst others.

TOPICS COVERED INCLUDE: APPRAISAL, FINANCE, SALESPERSON AND BROKER APPLICATIONS, NMLS LICENSING SUBJECT MATTER (INCLUDING THE NMLS “UNIQUE IDENTIFIER NUMBER” REQUIRED TO BECOME A MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATOR), Recent changes IN THE INDUSTRY, INCLUDING TILA/RESPA INTEGRATED DISCLOSURE RULE (TRID), WHICH COMBINED FOUR TILA/RESPA FORMS INTO JUST TWO FORMS, THE “NEW FINAL RULE” WHEREBY THE CREDITOR MUST DELIVER THE CLOSING DISCLOSURE TO THE CONSUMER AT LEAST 3 BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR TO THE DATE OF CONSUMATION OF A TRANSACTION, AND THE IMPORTANCE OF MOBILE FINTECH (FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY) IN THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY, FROM APPRAISAL APPS TO APPLYING FOR AND GETTING PRE-APPROVED FOR THEM.

THIS COURSE WILL PROVIDE STUDENTS AN OVERVIEW OF WHAT ROLE MORTGAGE BROKERS AND MORTGAGE BANKERS PLAY IN RENDERING THE NEEDS OF CONSUMERS IN OUR MARKETPLACE; ENABLING THEM TO GAIN AN IN- DEPTH PERCEPTION OF FINANCIAL QUALIFICATIONS. This course will teach the student what a transaction coordinator’s job duties are and who will need a Transaction Coordinator. This course also gives information on the Broker supervision of this transaction, as well as how the brokers reputation is at stake. This course provides information that covers the history of Escrow and Contract Law, the basic Escrow processes, and explains the role of the Transaction Coordinator.
